Pepe Claramunt receives honorary award from Ajuntament de Puçol for his legendary career at Valencia CF
Tendillo, Fernando Giner, Sempere and Payá were present at this event held within the framework of the ‘Año Claramunt’
Kevin Gameiro came on as a 64th minute substitute in the game against SD Huesca, playing his first minutes since July 19th. The striker talked to VCF Media after his return to action.
"We were playing at home and we have to win these types of games. We were up against a good team in SD Huesca, who control the ball well. We have to keep working to get victories in the coming games," said the Frenchman, who was asked if the team lacked freshness.
"Maybe a little. Now we have a few days in which to recover, and we have a game against Real Sociedad on Tuesday. We are going to recover in order to be fit for then."
"It's the start of the season and we have to remain confident about what this team have, as well as continuing to work hard. That's how the wins will return."
On his return to competition, Gameiro commented that "I was looking forward to coming back. It had been a long time since I last played a game, and I tried to help the team, but it wasn't enough. I have to keep working to get back in shape and be at 100% for the coming matches."
